Holiday motorists face fuel price hikes in Europe

• Fuel prices rise by up to 40 per cent year-on-year for unleaded petrol and 51 per cent for diesel in European motoring holiday destinations • Filling the tank costs least in Andorra and Austria while diesel is still sub-£1 in Spain • Diesel remains cheaper than unleaded petrol in all barring Switzerland and UK – with the biggest saving of 32p a litre in the Netherlands
