POST OFFICE MONEY LAUNCHES CURRENT ACCOUNT APP

  • App available to download for free now via App Store or Google Play
  • Users can make payments and check account balance on the move

Post Office Money today launches its new Current Account app, allowing customers to manage their money on the move.

From today, the Post Office Money Current Account app is available to download for free via the App Store and Google Play. Customers who are registered for online banking with Post Office Money will be able to check balances and recent transactions, make payments, locate their nearest branch or cash machine, and contact Customer Services directly via the app.

The Current Account app has been created in response to demand from Post Office Money customers, as research revealed that managing money online (28%) and being able to speak with Customer Services (19%) are key factors when choosing a financial services provider*.

John Willcock, Head of Current Accounts at Post Office, said: “We live in a time where our customers need to be able to bank and manage their finances with ease and at a time that suits them. The new app means that Post Office Current Account holders now have the option to bank in branch, over the phone, online or via the app.

“Our research has shown that a big ambition for 2015 is for people to take control of their finances, and releasing the app now to Post Office Money customers is another way in which we are helping to make this easier. Post Office’s unrivalled branch network and online banking options mean our customers can be sure they are always able to manage their money in a way that is convenient for them.”
