POST OFFICE LAUNCHES NEW MATCHED CREDIT CARD

  • Post Office’s Matched Credit Card offers 0% on purchases for 16 months and 0% on balance transfers for 16 months (2.98% balance transfer fee applies)
  • No cash fee when the card is used to buy travel money at the Post Office

Post Office today launches a new credit card which combines a lengthy balance transfer offer with a competitive interest-free purchase period.

The Matched Credit Card offers customers 0% on balance transfers for the first 16 months, and 0% on purchases for the same period. This offer is intended to allow customers a greater degree of choice and flexibility when managing their money. There is no annual fee and an 18.9% APR (variable).

The card can be used at 32 million locations worldwide and keen holidaymakers will also benefit from no cash fee when using the card to purchase travel money at the Post Office. The Matched card will be available from 5th January.

John Willcock, Head of Credit Cards at Post Office, said: “We are dedicated to providing a credit card which simplifies the day-to-day management of our customers’ money. Post Office cardholders can take advantage of zero per cent on balance transfers for 16 months while adding no additional interest on new purchases made in the first 16 months. This provides them with the flexibility and convenience they require.

“The Matched Credit Card is also accepted in 32 million locations worldwide and with no cash fee when you use the card to buy travel money at the Post Office, it is ideal for use at home or when going away.”
