Post Office supports Small Business Saturday with 10% Bonus for Drop & Go customers on 7th December

Press release -

Post Office supports Small Business Saturday with 10% Bonus for Drop & Go customers on 7th December

- 10% bonus for Drop & Go customers on Saturday 7th December
- Bonus for new Drop & Go customers who sign up on Saturday

This weekend, the Post Office is supporting the UK’s first Small Business Saturday as part of its efforts to help the third of small businesses which visit its branches each week.

Many small businesses, particularly online sellers, use the Post Office regularly for sending Royal Mail parcels to their customers. To make it easier and quicker the Post Office introduced Drop & Go, a free fast-track service available in over 97% of post offices. After signing up to get their Drop & Go card, customers can simply hand over their mail at the counter and leave the rest to us. The Post Office team will quickly check that everything is in order and then post their items later in the day, leaving the customer to focus on the more important parts of their business.

The Post Office is offering two Bonuses to Drop & Go customers this Saturday:

  • A Drop & Go Bonus - new and existing customers will get a 10% bonus on whatever they spend on mails using Drop & Go, emailed to them as a payout voucher to spend in branch. E.g. if a customer spends £20 on mails on Saturday, they will receive a £2 voucher via email which they can use to top up their account in store.

  • Drop & Go new signups – if new customers sign up to Drop & Go on Saturday, they will receive a £5 bonus if they spend £50 before the end of the year.

Dwaine Seddon, Post Office SME Propositions Manager said: “Small Business Saturday is a great chance to recognise that small businesses are such a huge part of the UK economy. Our branches are at heart of high streets and communities across the UK and are visited by a third of small businesses each year.. We’re delighted to be able to support this event through offering a special bonus to current and new Drop & Go customers sending letters and parcels at Post Office branches on Saturday.”

Drop & Go is a service offered by Post Office for customers who regularly send items, like businesses or internet sellers. Customers can sign up in participating branches, and receive a card to top up with money. They then drop off their items at the branch and leave us to it. The Post Office team will then check the items and send them off taking the cost from the customer’s prepaid card as they go.

The Post Office, now independent of Royal Mail, is the largest retail network in the UK, with over 11,500 branches. It is one of the fastest growing financial services companies with over three million customers and the market leader for travel money.

Visit www.postoffice.co.uk to find out more about the wide range of products and services available from the Post Office.

  2. To get the discounts customers must spend using the Drop & Go card- payment through another means will not qualify for these offers.
